Char atchk (evil eye) patch
The evil eye or char atchk in Armenian, is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they aren’t looking. The nazar, a blue amulet with an eye in the middle, is worn, carried or displayed to ward off this evil and protect us from harm. I have used this traditional symbol mixed with the symbol of Antifa, anti-fascists, who do the work of warding off the evil of fascism and other forms of bigotry and hatred.
Three layer screen printed patch.
Printed on white fabric, some have slight patterns of white detail within them.
1/2 the proceeds are being donated to Left Resistance, a coalition of grassroots movements in Armenia. Sev Bibar, Femlibrary, The Armenian Environmental Front and The Guild of Matenaradan recently joined forces to create the “Left Resistance”, which aims to strengthen their intersectional struggles and expand spaces of resistance.
Please note that all patches are printed on reclaimed fabric, and the patch you receive may not reflect the example photos. Include a note with your order for preferences and I will try to do my best to accommodate, but there are no guarantees as the fabrics change often.
