The evil eye or char atchk in Armenian, is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they aren’t looking. The nazar, a blue amulet with an eye in the middle, is worn, carried or displayed to ward off this evil and protect us from harm. I have used this traditional symbol mixed with the symbol of Antifa, anti-fascists, who do the work of warding off the evil of fascism and other forms of bigotry and hatred.
Three layer screen print.
