Char Atchk sticker
$2.00 – $30.00
The evil eye, or char atchk in Armenian, is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they aren’t looking. The nazar, a blue amulet with an eye in the middle, is worn, carried or displayed to ward off this evil and protect us from harm. I have used this traditional symbol mixed with the symbol of Antifa, anti-fascists, who do the work of warding off the evil of fascism and other forms of bigotry and hatred. The char atchk is circled by olive branches, a symbol of peace and victory. This branch illustration is taken from my Free Palestine posters. Olive trees are known for their ability to thrive in harsh conditions; these drought-resistant trees can grow and produce fruit for thousands of years. They represent a resilient and unwavering attachment to the land that parallels that of the Palestinian people. Our fight against fascism is global.
